Arctic Animals

The Arctic is located near the North Pole. It is home to polar bears, arctic foxes and hares, and seals. It is made up of a lot of ice, and it is now melting due to climate change. The arctic animals are slowly losing their homes. Click through the slideshow to learn information about some animals that are endangered.

Polar bears is a type of bear. Polar bears are found around the
Arctic Sea Ice, where they hunt and eat seals. Polar bears travel around a
lot, and their habitats can range a lot depending on the amount of
seals around and the amount of nearby ice. Polar bears get
their name from scientists and explorers who discover them,
with in latin known as 'Ursus Maritimus', otherwise known as sea bear.

Artic Foxes can be white, brown, or blueish-gray! This happens
because of the seasonal changes. They are omnivores and very
curious. Places where you could find Arctic Foxes would be anywhere
north of the Arctic Circe, Greenland, Iceland, and Europe. They are
also very skilled swimmers.

Did you know that baby arctic hares are called leverets! Arctic
Hares will dig holes into the snow to be able to sleep and to be
able to stay warm. Because of the way that Arctic Hares have their
eyes placed, they can see a full 360 degrees without have to
actually tun around. Their eyes also have black eyelashes that
protect their eyes from glare.
